"Hoshigami Rishu Deshi" Song • Updated

Rishu's image song! I used to have the full version MP3, but it got lost a few computers ago. :( The song is by SPOON (I think).

Lyrics provided by the uploader!

Zora o toberu ookina tsubasa wa nai deshiga
Kore demo ripa ni Shao-sama ni tsukaeru Hoshigami deshi
Nande minna tayorinai toka iu deshi ka

I don't have wings to reach the skies ~deshi
I am only one of the many Hoshigami that serves Shao-sama ~ deshi

Shaolin Cell Phone Strap

This is the Shaolin companion to the Rishu cell phone strap. The Shao figure on the top is the same as the figure used on the mechanical pencil.

Mamotte Day Planner Blank Refill Sheets

More day planner inserts! These refill sheets are completely blank, probably for drawing, sketching or pura stickers. There is a plaid "ribbon" on the top and bottom of the page, with Shao and Rishu on the top. The design is the same on the front and back.

O_O

My two Yahoo!Japan scores came in today. :3 These were two Mamotte lots that I fought fierce bidding wars over. Now that I have them, I realize how much stuff was actually in them!

(FYI: Mamotte lots on Y!J are few and far between these days. Mostly you see the same items listed over and over again. Since those items are usually manga and phone cards, they don't hold much of an appeal to me.)

Just . . . wow. There is some cool stuff in here. A Rishu head padlock, a Rishu tin pencil cup, pins, Retrouvaille items . . . Eventually I will photograph them and list them individually. And there will be a bunch of the extras that will need to go on eBay. :x

1/1 Scale Rishu Figure with Ink Brush

Here is a figure I have hunted for for a while! I'm not sure who produced it since I can't read Japanese. But this is considered a 1/1 scale figure for Rishu. The 1/1 scale tends to vary on who does the figure, especially for a character like Rishu! Personally I think she is much smaller.

The figure has Rishu holding her ink brush. The entire figure is made of plastic/vinyl. It is attached to a heavy plastic gold painted base via metal rods. She is not poseable. The painting on this figure could be a little cleaner; the sculpt itself could also be improved. Especially since this figure originally cost a pretty penny when it first came out!

Mamotte Tool Set

This is another thing that I have never seen before. I'm not sure if it is a mail-away special or not. But this mini tool set has screwdrivers, a wrench and a mini hammer.

Mamotte Ema Board

An ema is a little wooden prayer board that you can purchase from Shinto temples. I have a few other emas (two of them from the Sailor Moon anime!) but I've been looking for this one! I'm not sure what the board says, but it will be a great decoration.

Rishu Japanese-style Tea Cup

This is something that I found later into my Mamotte collecting. It is a cute little ceramic tea cup featuring Rishu (who is enjoying a cup of tea herself).

Rishu Star Dangling Pin

Rishu Arm Mascot

I'm not sure what the point of this is, but here's an odd product:

This is a Rishu arm mascot. It is an inflatable toy similar to Water Floaties that kids wear in the pool. The mascot is very small and doesn't seem to fit on adult's arm. The Rishu illustration is adorable though!

Shao School Uniform Resin Kit

Lately I've been dabbling in resin kit assembly and painting. So far I've worked on a Rishu kit (a recast). Since the kits ARE merchandise, they need to be featured here!

This kit was released for the OVA series. It has Shao in her school uniform. This kit seems easier to find. There are kits with Shao in her goddess costume that are far more complex and harder to find for sale.

A recast of this kit can be found here on E2046.com.

Mamotte Chibi Shao Wrist Watch

Mamotte Towels

I would say that no Mamotte bathroom is complete without towels . . . but these are the only bathroom-related items. XD

I've never seen these in person but it looks like the larger Shao towel is a body towel. The small Rishu towel is probably a face cloth. The illustrations on these are really cute. I love Rishu (of course) because of her adorable outfit and despite her comically oversized feet!

Rishu Cell Phone Strap #2

This is one of the first eBay auctions I won, along with being one of the firsts in my Rishu collection. This is a cell phone strap. Back in 2000 in Japan, cell phone straps were being to be very very popular. There are two cell phone straps, one of Rishu and another of Shao. The little plastic mascots used on them are the same ones used for the mechanical pencils. Rishu's strap has a yellow lanyard. I think Shao's had one of purple.

Rishu Notepad

This was one of the most ubiquitous Mamotte items. I only have the Rishu notepad, but there was also a chibi Shao version of this. The notepad has a plastic cover with "Syugogetten!" embossed in gold (and in the Comic Sans font, ugh). The back of each sheet has purple lines to write a short note.

Rishu Mini Voice Recorder

Another oddity! A Rishu-themed 15-second voice recorder. I have definitely never seen this anywhere else except for at a convention. In fact, I remember going and seeing this. I REALLY wanted it, but the dealer was selling it for some outrageous price ($50? $40?). Since I didn't have a ton of money, I passed on it.

One year I went to Otakon and to my surprise, I found this at a table! The price? It was between $5 - $15 dollars. Much better!

I haven't actually used this to see how it works, but I'm certainly it's very simple. The recorder itself is very small and thin, like a thick credit card. It comes with a vinyl pouch with a sealable top. The company who designed this used one of my favorite Rishu designs. The packaging is a simple plastic sleeve with a large sticker sealing it. The same design is used on the seal and it looks like there is product information/instructions printed on it.

Mamotte Spiral Notebook

This is a spiral bound notebook released while the tv series was being aired. It has a bunch of cute images that I've seen from other items like shijitaki and posters. The front and back cover are full cover, with Shao and all of her Hoshigami. The pages of the notebook are white with dark pink lines. The bottom of the pages have a Rishu border that was used for the Mamotte coffee mug.

Shao Christmas Tin

I found this tin while perusing the dealers room at an anime convention. This is the only one I've seen since! The tin had little shortbread cookies and a zipper pull of Shao in a Santa costume. The front of the silver tin has the same image of Shao with stars, Christmas bells and Hoshigami.

Mamotte Blank VHS Labels

Wow, does this ever date itself! These beauties are actually blanks labels and covers for VHS tapes. You read that correctly: VHS TAPES. I'm guessing these were made in at least 2000, possibly 2001. Hard to believe after all these years of owning DVDs!

This came from an auction lot, so I'm not sure how many of these came in a package. There are two VHS cover designs. Both have Shao on the cover with her Hoshigami on the sides. The covers have places for writing (or you can use the sticker letters provided).

The other two sheets have stickers you can apply to the VHS itself. There are labels for the spine of the tape, as well as little coding stickers (mostly in Japanese, but one says "BEST" and another "COPY").

Shao Omamori

This little cloth bag is a amulet known as a omamori. This one is made with a light purple brocade with darker purple cherry blossoms. The front has an image of Shao in her chibi form. Inside is a paper with a prayer on it. I'm not sure if it is for good luck, for protection . . . there are lots of different omamoris! My guess is that this is for protection from the moon. ;)

Mine is a little dirty, as you can probably tell. It is second-hand and was probably used as a backpack or cell phone charm by the previous owner.
